Over recent years the key focus within the UK water sector has been water scarcity and leakage. This will be of increasing importance
as the incidence of drought in the UK increases under climate change.
The 5 year Asset Management Plan (AMP) process means that the companies have to provide a multi-billion pound capital investment programme
to comply with regulations such as the Water Framework Directive, deliver environmental and service improvements and maintain existing systems,
all at the lowest cost. As part of to this programme, companies are under pressure to deliver increasingly better Customer Service, as
highlighted by the new DG9 quality measure. In addition, the ever-increasing stakeholder pressure on costs puts further emphasis on operational
efficiency and Revenue Maximisation.
The increased costs of both water and energy coupled with cost of living increases such as council tax will have an increasing impact on
customer’s ability to pay and will further hamper companies ability to manage and collect debt, hence requiring increasing levels of intelligence
and sophistication in their Credit Management processes..
Past SFO investigations also highlight the ongoing necessity for a better focus on Regulation and Compliance.
To address these needs SECOR has developed the following industry propositions:
- Customer Value Management / Experience
- Credit Management / Credit Analytics
- Process Management & Compliance
- Revenue Maximisation
